Who we are

Pure Coastal Honey began with a simple goal: to produce pure, local honey while supporting pollination in the local environment.

What started as a backyard hobby quickly became a passion. As knowledge grew, so did the apiaries, and before long Pure Coastal Honey evolved into more than just honey production. It became a way to share experiences, educate others, and contribute to the wider beekeeping community.

Today, Pure Coastal Honey is focused on promoting responsible beekeeping, supporting bee health, and helping both new and experienced beekeepers navigate the challenges facing modern beekeeping.

The arrival of varroa mite changed Australian beekeeping forever. Like many beekeepers, we have experienced hive losses, setbacks, and difficult decisions. Rather than turning away from these challenges, we chose to learn from them, adapt, and share those lessons with others. We believe honest conversations about both successes and failures help strengthen the entire beekeeping community.

Our honey remains at the heart of what we do. Produced in small batches and never blended, each harvest reflects the season, local flora, and coastal landscapes our bees forage throughout the year. The natural variations in colour, aroma, and flavour are a reflection of real honey and the environment it came from.

But our mission extends beyond the jar.

Through educational articles, community engagement, biosecurity awareness, and the sharing of practical beekeeping knowledge, Pure Coastal Honey aims to help both bees and beekeepers thrive. We believe beekeeping is stronger when knowledge is shared, when biosecurity is taken seriously, and when beekeepers support one another.

Whether you're here to learn about bees, follow our journey, or enjoy a jar of honey, welcome to Pure Coastal Honey.
